About Us

Have you ever heard an album that changed you? Maybe it affected your mood, made you happier or sadder; maybe it changed your view on something; maybe it lifted you up from a dark place. Almost everyone has an album or a song or a band like that. It touches you. You never forget it. I love introducing people to music, whether life-altering or not.

The purpose of this blog is to help connect people with new music. My hope is that I can introduce you, my readers, to new artists and albums. However, I also want to connect with you! I love feedback, so if you have anything at all that you want to say, go for it. There’s a “Contact” bar up top, or you can just shoot me an email at indientry(@)gmail.com.

So go ahead and read about new music, and give that music a listen while you’re at it! You can meet our team below. Check out their profiles, and click to see their posts.

All my love,

Abby Jeffers

My name is Abby, and I’m 17. Music is the most important thing in my life, closely followed by writing. How to merge the two? A music blog! I started Indientry in July 2015. Since then, I’ve had the time of my life writing for Indientry, going to shows, and getting to interview some of my favorite artists. I love pretty much any genre of music, from indie rock to post-hardcore, but my favorite thing to do is interview artists and go to live shows. There’s something magical about experiencing music with someone else, whether it’s in the crowd or discussing it backstage. It’s a truly extraordinary experience.  Check out my posts!

I’m Ellie, and I’m 15 years old. All of my life, I have been fascinated with music, writing, and photography, and recently discovered a love for cinematography. Through Indientry, I was in a photo pit for Young The Giant at the age of fourteen, and I’ve harbored a love for concert photography since then. Since I come from a musical family and I’m a percussionist in my school’s concert band, music is a pretty big part of my life. I listen to all types of music, anything from indie rock to rap, but some of my favorites include All Time Low and twenty one pilots. Check out my posts!

If there’s someone more passionate about discovering new music than Jules, they’ll be hard to find. Every time I send her a song or an album or a playlist, she stops what she’s doing to listen to it and tell me what she thinks. She’s always willing to write about shows, and adores photography, so she’s our designated staff photographer. You can check out her other photography here! Additionally, Jules is enthusiastic about Grimes, working with kids, her lovely cat, and UDF milkshakes, and she’ll be attending The Ohio State University in the fall. Check out her posts!
